Appliance Maintenance

Home Appliance Maintenance Before Something Breaks

Most of us only think about the refrigerator or dryer when it stops working. By then, a small issue like dusty coils or a clogged filter has often turned into a repair. Routine appliance maintenance is a simple way to catch those problems early, while they are still easy to fix.

We are PointLine Appliance Repair, a small, family-owned company based in Superior, serving 21 cities across the Denver Metro Area and Boulder County. We started this business after years at other repair companies, where we saw too much poor communication and unclear pricing. Residential maintenance is surprisingly hard to find around Denver, so we built a service around it: a thorough, unhurried visit where your technician cleans, checks and explains what they see in plain language.

Why It Matters

Why Regular Appliance Maintenance Matters

  • Fewer Breakdowns

Many appliance failures start small: a clogged drain, a worn hose, a gasket that no longer seals. Catching these early generally means fewer surprise repairs and less disruption at home.

  • Better Efficiency

Clean condenser coils, clear filters and an open dryer vent help appliances do their job without working harder than they need to. In general, that means shorter run times and steadier performance.

  • Longer Appliance Life

Motors, fans and pumps last longer when they are not fighting dust, lint or scale. A little regular care is one of the simplest ways to get more years out of the appliances you already own.

  • Safer Operation

Lint buildup in a dryer vent and poorly adjusted gas burners are both worth taking seriously. Routine checks help keep heat and gas appliances running the way they were designed to.

The Visit

What a Maintenance Visit Looks Like

What to expect when we come out for maintenance.

  1. 01

    Clear Price Before Booking

When you call, we confirm which appliances you want serviced and give you the price up front. No vague estimates and no surprises when your technician arrives.

  2. 02

    A Careful Walkthrough

Your technician starts by asking how your appliances have been running and whether you have noticed any noises, leaks or changes. That context helps focus the visit.

  3. 03

    Cleaning and Checks

Your technician works through the checklist for each appliance, cleaning coils, filters and drains, checking gaskets and hoses, and testing temperatures, heating and ignition.

  4. 04

    Plain-Language Findings

Before leaving, your technician explains what they found and what to keep an eye on. If something needs repair, you get a clear price first and the choice is always yours.

Seasonal Care in Colorado

Seasonal Appliance Care in Colorado

  • Winter

Cold months mean more cooking, more baking and heavier laundry loads. It is a good time to check oven temperature, burner ignition and the dryer vent, which works hard when bulky winter clothes are in the rotation.

  • Spring

After a long winter, spring is a natural time for a full checkup. Cleaning refrigerator condenser coils and checking the dishwasher filter and spray arms helps get your kitchen ready for the busier months ahead.

  • Summer

Hot summer days put extra load on your refrigerator and freezer, especially in a warm kitchen. Clean coils, working fans and sealing door gaskets help keep food cold, and a fresh ice maker water filter keeps ice flowing.

  • Fall

Before the holidays and colder weather arrive, fall is a smart time to check the range, oven door gasket and range hood filters and fan. In our dry, semi-arid climate, keeping lint cleared from the dryer is worth doing before winter, too.

Landlords & Property Managers

Appliance Checks for Landlords and Property Managers

Turnover is the easiest time to look over a rental's appliances. We offer appliance checks between tenants, so you can spot worn gaskets, clogged filters or a struggling refrigerator before a new resident moves in rather than after the first service call.

For occupied units, maintenance generally works best when visits are coordinated with tenants ahead of time so someone knows when to expect us. Call us at (720) 285-3573 to talk through your properties and which appliances you would like checked.

Pricing

Appliance Maintenance Pricing

We do not publish a single maintenance price because every home has a different mix of appliances. Instead, we give you the price before you book, so you know exactly what to expect. If you would like ongoing care, our Care Club is $99 a year and includes one maintenance visit each year. If a repair is ever needed, our $85 diagnostic visit is credited toward the repair, and repairs carry a 90-day parts and labor warranty.

FAQ

Appliance Maintenance Questions

Common questions about appliance maintenance.

Still have a question?

Give us a call — we'll be glad to help.

(720) 285-3573

How often should my appliances get maintenance?

For most homes, once a year is a good rhythm. Households that cook a lot, run frequent laundry loads or have pets that shed may benefit from more frequent attention to dryer lint, filters and coils. Your technician can tell you what makes sense for your appliances.

What is included in an appliance maintenance visit?

The visit follows a set checklist for each appliance, such as condenser coils and door gaskets on a refrigerator, filters and spray arms on a dishwasher, and the vent, lint path, heating and belt on a dryer. The full checklist for each appliance is listed on this page.

How much does appliance maintenance cost?

We give you the price before you book, so there are no surprises on the day of the visit. If you join our Care Club for $99 a year, one maintenance visit a year is included.

What happens if my technician finds a problem?

Your technician will explain what they found and give you a clear price before any repair work starts. You decide whether to go ahead. Repairs use genuine OEM parts and come with our 90-day parts and labor warranty.

Does hard water in Denver affect my appliances?

It can, because Denver Water describes its water as soft to moderately hard with a tendency to form scale. Over time, scale can build up in ice makers, dishwashers and water inlet valves, which is why we check those areas during maintenance.

Do you check gas ranges and dryers?

Yes, we check burners, ignition and heating on gas appliances as part of the visit. At roughly 5,000 to 5,800 feet, gas appliances need correct setup to burn cleanly and heat properly, so this is worth a look in Colorado homes.

Can I get same-day maintenance?

Same-day service is often available, though we cannot promise it every time. Call us at (720) 285-3573 and we will find the soonest time that works for you.
